Hotel Review: Zoetry Paraiso De La Bonita

I’m so excited to share this hotel review with you, because this is truly one of the most spectacular hotels we’ve stayed at. Zoetry Paraiso De La Bonita is an all-inclusive resort in Mayan Riveria, Mexico…. and it’s the location we chose for our wedding! In this hotel review I’m sharing my thoughts and pictures for the hotel stay. To read all about the wedding, check out “Our Mexico Wedding: The Details”.

We looked at a lot of hotels in Mexico before booking Zoetry, but the stunning rooms is what sold me! They have such an authentically Mexican style that feels very luxurious and spacious. We also really liked that every room at this resort is oceanfront – so no matter what room you stay in you have an incredible view! We stayed in a ground floor room with a private plunge pool and outdoor shower. It was such a gorgeous room, but the top floor “basic” rooms definitely had a nicer view. When we return to Zoetry, we would likely book a top floor room.

Another amazing feature of the rooms at Zoetry is the bathrooms. As soon as I saw a picture of the bathroom, I knew that was where I could imagine myself getting ready for my wedding day! Needless to say, the setting did not disappoint! The room pictures below are from our wedding photographer, Dean Sanderson Weddings.

This area of Mexico isn’t known for their beaches, so the only drawback to this resort is that the beach tends to get a lot of seaweed. As you can tell from the pictures below, it certainly isn’t a huge issue – and be no means a deal breaker! Because the perfect was less than perfect, most days we found that it was actually quieter than the pool. No matter what time of day we arrived at the beach, plenty of beds were available.

If the pool is what you prefer, you won’t be disappointed with Zoetry’s oceanfront pool. Again, plenty of lounge chairs  means that there is always one available! The service was particularly good around the pool, with servers rushing to lay out your towel and take your drink order as soon as you arrive. I also really liked that you could order substantial menu items from your lounge chair! Eating sushi while drinking champagne beside the pool was a real treat.

Speaking of food, the restaurants at Zoetry are unlike any other resort I’ve been to. Absolutely 5 stars all the way – nearly every meal was a fine dining experience. Compared to other all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, Zoetry has a smaller selection of restaurants but the variety of food was just as big. We met the head chef on a few occasions, and he was more than happy to make a few things that weren’t on the menu! Since we were travelling with a decent size group (18 people), I was happily surprised that the staff were able to accommodate our entire group for a few group meals throughout the week. The beachside grill was our favourite place for lunch, and it’s also where we had our wedding dinner. The best dining experience we had at Zoetry was our dinner for two inside the wine cellar! It was such a delicious meal, and the setting was very romantic.

The list of activities at Zoetry is endless, but the wellness activities are not to be missed! The thermal pool and daily yoga were such a great way to start each day. We also enjoyed a few different spa treatments – and I can highly recommend their massages and hair salon! Aside from the relaxing activities, one of my best memories of Zoetry was the beachside bonfire they arranged for us! An entire table of marshmallows, cookies and treats were available, and they set up plenty of chairs for our large group. It was a truly memorable evening with our friends and family.
