Ibiza has always been one of my favourite destinations, and this summer we decided to visit the White Isle with a group of 10 friends! Since we had such a large group, we knew that staying in a hotel was out of the question and we began looking for a villa rental that could accommodate all of us. Although the cost per couple ended up being much cheaper than a hotel, the overall cost was quite high and we were a bit nervous about booking a villa online for fear of not getting what we paid for – or worse! After hours of research we found a reputable company called Ibiza Summer Villas that changed everything! Here’s everything you need to know about renting a villa in Ibiza, and an inside look at our experience with Ibiza Summer Villas:
Their website had a great search feature, which allowed us to search villas based on occupancy and location. We needed a villa for at least 10 people, and since it wasn’t our first time in Ibiza we also knew that the location needed to be something near Ibiza Town or Playa d’en Bossa. Other “must-haves” were a pool, air-conditioning and at least three bathrooms. We discussed our options as a group, and contacted the staff at Ibiza Summer Villas with a list of questions before finally settling on “Villa 212” in Sant Jordi.
Once we picked our villa, the booking process was quick and easy. We filled out the online booking form, and within 24 hours we had a response back with information on how to submit our deposit to secure our reservation. One thing that really impressed me, was the fantastic communication between Ibiza Summer Villas and us. Many of the staff are originally from the UK, so naturally they speak perfect English. Not having any language barriers made the process even easier for us, and it gave us confidence in our decision to book with them.
You don’t always know how accurate online pictures are of a rental house, but when we arrived at our villa we were pleasantly surprised to see that it was EXACTLY as pictured! Every room of the house looked identical to the website, and we were very impressed by the level of cleanliness and quality. The compound consisted of three different buildings. The main house had a kitchen, dining room, living room, two bathrooms and six bedrooms. On the second level there was also a large lobby with a balcony overlooking the property. The guest house had its own kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. This is also where the laundry room was located. Lastly, just outside of the main building was a separate open-air building that housed a large dining room and outdoor kitchen with a wood burning pizza oven. This area is where we ate most of our meals, and it’s also where we had an amazing “family night” where we cooked our own pasta!
To peek behind the scenes at our stay, check out this video we filmed using our drone:
Although the villa was undeniably beautiful, we came to Ibiza for fun in the sun – so we spent most of our time outside by the pool. The gorgeous pool was well maintained and included more than enough sun loungers. We had brought some inflatable floaties from home, so at any given time there was at least a handful of people floating around the pool! It became part of our daily routine to eat breakfast outside, followed by a swim… and our afternoons were often spent drinking homemade sangria while we tanned!
After 7 nights at our villa, everyone in the group was thrilled with our decision to rent through Ibiza Summer Villas. We were blown away by how luxurious the villa was, and felt that the price we paid was fair for what we got. Above all, the team at Ibiza Summer Villas were really nice and communication was great. We had such an amazing time that we’re already talking about making this a re-occuring vacation, and we would definitely use Ibiza Summer Villas again!
