Kelly Ella Maz Chayadol Boutique Resort Review

Hotel Review: Chayadol Boutique Resort

After a few hectic weeks in Thailand I knew I wanted our brief stay in Chiang Rai to be relaxing. I wanted a quiet hotel that was close enough to restaurants by bike, but far enough away that I could actually relax. We found the perfect place – Chayadol Boutique Resort! This small resort had everything we needed, and it was just a 5 minute drive to some of the city’s best restaurants.

We stayed in a Deluxe King Room overlooking the pool. Our spacious room was basic, but immaculately clean and comfortable. We loved the huge amount of storage space we had, perfect for those of us who tend to travel with a bit too much luggage! The highlight of this room was the cute balcony overlooking the pool. It was the perfect place to get some work done, or enjoy an afternoon cup of tea!

The yummy-smelling bathroom products they use at the hotel come in custom-designed packaging for the hotel, and the products are locally made in Northern Thailand. If you fall in love with them you can even buy some to take home in the gift shop!

The famous pool at Chayadol is the first thing you see when you walk into the resort. It’s broken up into three areas: the main pool, the kids pool and the hot tub. The gardens surrounding the pool are beautiful, and there are plenty of different areas to sit which means you always have privacy around the pool. There’s a beautiful bridge that crosses over the pool that leads you to the lobby and up to the rooms, and the entire area feels very relaxing.

Of course if you’re indulging in so much of the delicious Thai street food you might start to feel a bit sluggish after a few days. Chayadol Boutique Resort is one of the first hotels we’ve stayed at in a long time that’s actually had a gym! Hotel gyms don’t seem to be very common in Southeast Asia, and more often than not the “gym” just includes a treadmill. Fear not – the gym at Chayadol had a wide range of equipment, perfect for a morning workout!
