Hotel Review: Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok

Luxury, convenience and stunning views come to mind when I think about our stay at Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok! From the moment we checked in we were spoiled with great service, including a selection of welcome cocktails at the lobby lounge and a warm welcome from the staff. After only a few minutes of being at this hotel I knew this would be one of Bangkok’s most luxurious properties!

We stayed in a Grand Suite One Bedroom with river views. It was located on the 34th floor, so the first thing we noticed was the incredible views! This suite is the same layout as the residence towers next door, and included a living room and kitchen. Off the living room was a large balcony where we were treated to amazing sunsets every night!

The bedroom was completely separate from the rest of the room, and it had floor to ceiling windows on two our of four walls, which meant we had an 180 degree view of the river and the city from our king-sized bed as well! The room was very comfortable and the blackout curtains meant we slept great, no matter what time of day it was.

The ensuite bathroom had a separate sink and vanity area – perfect for getting ready. The toilet, shower and bathtub were located in the separate area. The custom-made bath products smelt like White Tea and the beautiful bath salts were a welcoming surprise and ensured the bathtub didn’t go without use!

Breakfast was included with our stay, and it was a buffet set up in the River Barge restaurant on the ground floor. We stayed for two nights, and each day’s breakfast was different. They had a mix of Western and Asian foods, including plenty of fresh fruit and baked goods. There were additional onsite restaurants as well, including a Chinese restaurant on the 36th floor with stunning views and a small bakery with delicious macaroons and sweets!

Located on the 6th floor was a sweeping infinity pool that looked more like a Caribbean resort than it did Bangkok! It was a welcoming change front he rest of the city and a great place to relax when we needed a break from the craziness that is Bangkok. It’s location on the 6th flop gives you wonderful views of the river and the tall city towers around. The pool is one of Chatrium Hotel Riverside’s best features!

The hotel provides a free shuttle boat from the hotel’s pier to Saphan Taksin Pier. From Saphan Taksin you can easily access great shopping, restaurants and a SkyTrain station! This free service runs every 15-30 minutes (depending on the time of day) in each direction. Thanks to the shuttle boat it was very easy for us to get around Bangkok. During our stay in Bangkok we didn’t have time for a dinner cruise on the river, so this free shuttle on a gorgeous Thai boat was the next best thing!
