After a ton of boutique hotels in Bali it was time for a change! We wanted a luxury resort, a large property with a full gym, room service and all that stuff. Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran was the first hotel that came to mind, and they seriously delivered! We had such a fun, relaxing stay and I’m so excited to share these pictures and info with you guys today.
We stayed in a Lagoon Access Room with a king bed. It was on the ground floor and came with a terrace that had direct access into the lagoon via a small pool ladder. Our room was bright, airy, and modern and way bigger than I expected.
We had a walk-in closet, beautiful marble bathroom, a seating area and a huge desk. Our private terrace also had a small table and chairs so we could enjoy drinks outside with an awesome view. The room came with everything you can expect at a Starwood hotel… an iPod dock, plasma TV, oversized fluffy pillows and a stack of luxury travel magazine. Everything you need to feel right at home.
The saltwater lagoon pool is definitely Le Meridien Bali’s most famous feature. The pool twists and turns throughout the resort, giving plenty of rooms direct pool access. Thanks to the huge size the pool never felt crowded and we always have somewhere private to swim. We loved this since it is a family resort, so we never had kids playing nearby when we were trying to relax. Plenty of room for everyone!
With direct access to the lagoon from our suite we swam our way to the swim-up bar for refreshing coconuts and cocktails more than a few times!
Food at Le Meridien is so impressive I feel it’s necessary to cover each of the restaurants in this review, just so I can share details on the best dishes for future guests! The main restaurant is called Bamboo Chic, and this spot has both indoor and outdoor tables. We loved sitting outside because the tables had beautiful views of the pool!
The burgers are unreal at Bamboo Chic, and the make-your-own burger menu means you have unlimited options to get your burger just how you like it. For dinner the Australian beef and the Japanese bento were both amazing! Bamboo Chic is also where they have the buffet breakfast each morning. It is literally the biggest buffet I’ve ever seen – endless options to satisfy anyone.
Smoqee Sky Bar is an awesome rooftop bar with great views of the beach and the restaurants below. All of the restaurants on the beach use coconut shells instead of coals on their grills, so they create a ton of smoke. The smoke doesn’t reach the bar but you can definitely see it lingering down below and it creates an awesome, mysterious ambiance.
The sunset views are amazing from Smoqee Sky Bar, so evening drinks are a must here!
Le Meridien Bali also has a cafe called WaLa that serves gelato, coffee and desserts. They’re probably best known for their eclairs but it was the gelato that won me over! They had some pretty awesome flavours, like banana and black rice!
No matter where you eat dinner, be sure to save room for dessert at WaLa!
After all that food (seriously, sooo much food!) a few workouts were necessary. Le Meridien Bali has a great 24 hour gym and yoga studio with views of the garden and lagoon pool. You can even book one-on-one yoga classes with a professional teacher!
Of course after a hard workout our muscles were a little fatigued, so massages were needed! The Serenity Spa at Le Meridien is a world-class spa with incredibly talented staff and a relaxing setting. We tried the “Meridien Stress Release Massage” and the unique combination of thumb rolling and herbal salt packs had me feeling like I was on a cloud!

The team at Kelly Ella Maz were welcomed to Le Meridien Bali as guests, however our opinions remain our own.
