Arriving at our private villa at The Wolas Villa & Spa was like arriving in paradise. Cool towels, refreshing watermelon juice and friendly smiles greeted us as we stepped out of our SUV. A few minutes later we were off to see our villa, which had a grand entrance with beautiful vines cascading down the walls and gardens lining the pathway to our private oasis. I couldn’t wait to see what was behind these oversized wooden doors…
We were booked in a two bedroom villa, so we had one of the biggest properties available. The huge pool was the first thing I noticed, with a serene infinity edge and four sun loungers lined up beside it. Overlooking the pool was an outdoor living room with two couches and a TV. After three weeks in Seminyak we were less interested in sightseeing and more interested in catching up on work – and this living room made for the most beautiful office!
Just behind the living room was a dining room and kitchen. The dining room was perfect for breakfast by the pool, and although the kitchen was nice to have we never had to use it since the room service menu had endless options.
Our particular villa (Villa #1) was a two bedroom property, but the bedrooms each had separate entrances. This layout would really be perfect for friends travelling together or a family because you’d still have a lot of privacy. The bedrooms have king sized beds and the rooms feel huge thanks to the vaulted ceilings. Each bedroom also has an entertainment console, desk and couch. Even though we spent most of our time outside the bedroom still provided a ton of space to hang out.
The bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower, as well as a beautiful bathtub next to a huge window. The team at The Wolas love to spoil their guests so they stock the bathroom with bubble bath and bath salts! There’s nothing more relaxing than a spa-like bath. I also loved how much space there was so luggage thanks to the bench and generous closet.
It came as no surprise to us that the food at The Wolas was amazing. For dinner we indulged in pasta and greek salads, and for breakfast we loved the omelettes and fresh fruit. But, the culinary treat we enjoyed most was the rare opportunity to try Kopi Luwak coffee! Although I’m not a coffee drinker it was still exciting to try – and the fact that we were able to have this exotic coffee delivered to our villa was even better!
