Hotel Review: Ultra Broadbeach

One step inside Ultra Broadbeach and I knew we had arrived at a spectacular hotel. The lobby was spacious and modern, and overlooked the beautiful pool outside and tropical gardens through the floor-to-ceiling glass wall . This resort has a very Miami vibe to it – it’s filled with trendy furniture and gives the feeling of “resort living”. In fact, it’s the perfect Gold Coast hotel.

Our room was even more impressive than the lobby with sweeping views of the ocean and plenty of space. The units were designed to be lived in, so you have every amenity you could possibly need. We had a full kitchen, an office, separate bedroom and a beautiful bathroom. The spacious rooms would make this hotel perfect for families or a group of friends travelling together.

With a room this big (and with views this nice) it was hard to ever leave the hotel! A wrap-around balcony that was accessible from both the bedroom and the living room made for the perfect place to watch the sunrise each morning, and a great spot to enjoy a sunny afternoon drink. Since Broadbeach is significantly quieter than Surfers Paradise it felt like we were at our own private retreat when we were lounging on the balcony – far enough away from the action, but still close enough to visit at night.

The amenities at Ultra Broadbeach include a pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and gym. We took full advantage of everything and spent our saturday afternoon enjoying the Gold Coast sun by the pool. The grounds were immaculate and picture-perfect. You can tell that they spend the time and the money to keep this hotel at a high standard!

One of the best parts about Ultra Broadbeach is definitely it’s convenient location. You just can’t beat this spot, located in the prestigious Broadbeach neighbourhood just a few streets up from the ocean. Broadbeach has some of the best restaurants in Gold Coast, as well as the casino and Pacific Fair shopping mall – all of which were walking distance from us. And, when we did want to go to Surfers Paradise we were just a 4 minute walk from the tram station.
